A Frown is Just a Smile Turned Up Down

Posted in Analogy, Illusion, Quotes

ThatcherIllusion3.JPG Take a look at the optical illusion to the right. (You'll need to view it upside down to understand why it is an optical illusion.) To me, it is a metaphor for that old cliche, "a frown is just a smile turned upside down."

I also happen to believe that it is a healthy thing to turn our problems upside down every now and again. And, if you don't trust me, take it from Dr. Seuss who once offered this sage piece of advice, "Don't cry because it is over. Smile because it happened."

Unlearning is all about viewing things from new and different perspectives.
