Seth Godin has an excellent post entitled We're the Same, We're the Same, We're the Same. In it, he argues that most businesses' ads all look the same. He then goes on to mention that most people's resumes also look the same.
I've said if before and I'll say it again, if you want to unlearn — and be different — one strategy is to work on your anti-resume. A little intellectual humility and "knowing what you don't know" is a good way to stay curious and keep growing. It will also have the added benefit of separating you from the crowd and making you different.
