Orville Wright Did Not Have a Pilot’s License

Wright I'm currently reading Gordon MacKenzie's delightful book, Orbiting the Giant Hairball. Chapter 19 is the shortest, most insightful chapter I have read in some time. I will repeat it in its entirety for your reading pleasure:

Orville Wright did not have a pilot's license.

On the same track, David Letterman asked one of his guests “How did you know so much about computers then?” The lady replied “I didn’t. It was the first one.”
That same amazing lady also made the following unlearning related comment.
“Humans are allergic to change. They love to say, “We’ve always done it this way.” I try to fight that. That’s why I have a clock on my wall that runs counter-clockwise.”
That lady was Admiral Grace M. Hopper.

I love it! I need a clock like Adm. Hopper.
P.S. Now get back to changing Minnesota’s political climate!

Great book! Had a chance to hear Gordon speak. Outstanding….much like book. I sure wish Hallmark had some videos of him to post.

I just finished the book this evening. It was outstanding. I’d love to see some video of Gordon MacKenzie as well.
