I really like the photo to the right. It depicts the same scene, the only difference is that on the right half of the photo the night sky is being masked by man-made light.
A fitting metaphor for the modern world. Often, we are so surrounded by the modern conveniences of light that we fail to appreciate the extraordinary beauty that envelops us in the greater universe. It’s right above us but we can’t see it because we are “blinded by the light.”
If you have the opportunity, try to escape the city lights for the country and just bask in the wonder of the universe. I’m confident you’ll come to appreciate a new perspective … or unlearn an old one.
