Think in Time: As a futurist, I love to study and read history. This one-minute history lesson is just one of the reasons why. As the author explains–you can use this insight the rest of your life!

Think Harder:  Did you know the first train tracks in the United States were laid in 1823 and only stretched 23 miles? Just 30 years later, 60,000 miles of tracks covered the United States. Why do I tell you this? Well, it might be easy to dismiss this news of the State of Michigan laying down a 40-mile corridor for driverless cars but, as history reminds us, trends can take-off faster than many people expect.

Think in Questions: Is the quantum age still off in the distant future? It’s a question worth pondering and if this pesky little start-up has anything to say about the matter quantum computers will be here sooner rather than later.

Heart-Centered Thinking: In these troubling times, it is easy to succumb to fear or to rush into action. My advice–breathe. Our first job is both more simple and more complex than one might imagine. This is my latest poem, it is entitled “A Change of Heart” and it speaks to this simple-yet-complex matter.
