Think Big: Ten years ago, the federal government put together a blue-ribbon commission to explore the possibility of whether going back to the moon was economically feasible. The committee determined it was not feasible because a heavy lift vehicle would take 12 years to construct and cost $36 billion. The committee was wrong. Elon Musk, an entrepreneur, constructed a heavy lift vehicle in 6 years for less than $1 billion. Think about that — the future arrived 50 percent faster and at a fraction of the cost of what the experts predicted! That alone should give you plenty to think about, but this article on the future of space will give you even more to think about. (Highly recommended).
Think Small: In 2019, self-driving trucks drove a two-mile route. This year, the route expanded to 20 miles. That sounds small, but it is a 1000 percent increase. Think Strange: How often do you think about the food that your food eats? If you’re like me, the answer is not much. But we should because the plants and meat provide only 18 percent of calories we consume and yet use 60 percent of the planet’s land. This is not sustainable. One strange, but practical solution may be bugs. Yes, bugs! Soon, a new factory in France will mass-produce bugs as a food source for our food.
