Think in Silence: As I explain in this post, the future will not be so much about humanity conquering outer space as it will be about us conquering inner space. To do so, however, we first need silence.

Think Strategically: Bill George, the former CEO of Medtronic, has written an insightful article: Dealing with Today’s Complex Challenges. In the article, he makes an important distinction between complicated problems and complex problems. (I asked Bill a question about his article regarding how people can embrace uncertainty and he provided a thoughtful and profound answer: “Everything involves risk … the state of zero risk is death.”

Think Optimistically: “Here Comes the Sun” was one of my favorite Beatles songs growing up and now I believe we may soon (with a decade) be saying “Here comes the Artificial Sun.” Nuclear fusion is essentially the equivalent of bottling the power of a mini-sun in a man-made container and Chinese researchers have recently shattered the record for a nuclear fusion reaction. Society is still a long way from wide-scale commercial adoption of nuclear fusion but the future is drawing closer. (FYI: Last week, I shared this article on China as an innovation leader and this week–with the aforementioned news about nuclear fusion as well as the country’s amazing DeepSeek AI breakthrough, it is clear China is a growing technological powerhouse.)

Think Smarter: Last year, I wrote the book, “A Smarter Farm: How Artificial Intelligence is Revolutionizing Agriculture.” One perspective that I dirndl;t much cover was how AI might facilitate advances in regenerative agriculture. Fortunately, Johan Jorgensen has rectified this oversight of mine by penning this article: AI … The Silent Partner to the Regenerative Agriculture Revolution? (FYI: In case any farmers missed it, here is my annual list of trends impacting farming and agriculture in 2025.)

Think Visually–and Exponentially:
