I’m in New York City this Thanksgiving, and yesterday I went to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. One of the stranger sights was seeing “Kiss”–the Rock Band from the late 1970’s–perform. To me, it was a tangible reminder of how things once considered “fringe” have a curious way of becoming mainstream over time.
As I frequently tell my clients, the future is here today–it’s just often on the fringe. Therefore, if you want to do a better job of future-proofing your organization, focus on the fringe!
