In 2009, I predicted a major university would slash tuition by 5 percent in response to growing economic and technological changes. (See Prediction #2). I’m pleased to report that while the event didn’t occur in 2010 as I suggested (I was off by 46 days), The University of the South just announced it is cutting tuition by 10 percent or about $4,600.
Time will tell if my Number 1 prediction for 2011 will come to fruition but I remain convinced huge changes are coming to post-secondary education and the educationment establish needs to wake up to these transformations–now!. If they don’t they will—and should—become obsolete.
