Trike_sign One of my preferred methods of unlearning is to ask a new question. I also believe that changing one's self is more important than trying to change the opinions of others.

Nevertheless, I understand the appeal of trying to change people's minds. I confess I still spend too much time trying to do it … as do Republicans and Democrats, Christians and Muslims, men and women, blacks and whites, etc.

Before trying to change someone else's mind, ask yourself this question: When was the last time I changed my mind?

P.S. Feel free to also ask this question to someone intent on changing your mind. If they can't document a meaningful area in their life where they have changed their mind, it is worth asking them why they think you should change yours.
