A Statue of Unlearning

When Michelangelo created David he didn’t think of building something; instead he thought of “taking away.” Or, as he said, “the more the marble wastes away, the more the sculpture grows.”

In many respects, unlearning what you have learned might feel like “a waste.” That’s the wrong way to think of it. Think of it like Michelangelo and David–you are growing something more beautiful.
