Think: Would you like to improve your forecasting skills by 14 percent in just an hour? If so, I encourage you to read this article, Superforecasting: How to Upgrade Your Company’s Judgment. (Remember: Success isn’t always determined by hitting the “next home run,” more often than not it is achieved by doing important things–like forecasting–incrementally better than the competition.)

Think Better: Do you like ice cream? (Who doesn’t?) If so, I invite you to read this article because the ice cream of the near future might be tastier and better for the planet than the type you are currently stuffing your face with late at night.

Think Harder:  Do you live, work, or do business in a city? If so, you will want to read this article, The New Normal After the Coronavirus because while the pandemic won’t change everything, it will change many things.

Think the Unthinkable: Many of us may prefer not to contemplate the moral, societal, and ethical issues surrounding radical life extension but, as this article–The Scientist Who Believes Aging is Optional–suggests, it is important we do so.

Heart-Centered Thinking: A colleague introduced me to a wonderful line from a William Carlos Williams poem. It reads: “It is difficult to get the news from poems yet men die miserably every day for lack of what is found there.” In this spirit, I give my latest poem entitled “Who Weeps.” It is about the condition of our world’s rivers. You won’t read of much of rivers’ plight in the newspaper, but you may get a sense of the seriousness of their condition from my poem.

Until next week: Don’t stop thinking about the future! But also never forget “It is easier to act your way into a new way of thinking than think your way into a new way of acting“!
