Think: As long-time subscribers know, I am a big proponent of “thinking exponentially.” In this visually stunning article, Our World in Data, the author demonstrates how quickly the world can (and is)changing–and this is something we all need to spend some time thinking about.

Think: I know I keep harping on artificial intelligence, but that’s only because with the advances in AI we are living through a period of history I believe may rival the introduction of agriculture in its importance to the long-run trajectory of humanity and civilization. That being said, I found this article to be balanced, How AI Can Help. (Here’s just one quick nugget: “[AI] has been revolutionary. What used to take me an hour now takes me five minutes.) Note: I have said it before and I’ll say it again: AI won’t replace people, it will replace people who don’t leverage AI.

Think Again: Think you are doing everything you can to play a role in combating climate change? Think again! Most American’s don’t understand where they should really focusing their efforts. This article can help: Stop Recycling. (If you don’t read the article, you DON’T actually have permission to stop recycling.)

Think Historically: I enjoyed this recent article, In Praise of Quiet Competence, which cites my 2008 book, Soldier, Statesman, Peacemaker: Leadership Lessons From General George C. Marshall. Obviously, I have selfish reasons for sharing the article–the author had a favorable impression of my book–but he also makes broader points about the essence of leadership which transcend my book.

Think Hard: If you are in the pharmaceutical industry, this is one article you will want to read and think about: New 3D Printer That Creates Custom Prescription Drugs.

Afterthought: “The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play instinct.“–Carl Jung
